Mistead Sai, MSW, LCSW is an associate board member of ISAM and a licensed clinical social worker. He is a Behavioral Health Consultant at PCC Community Wellness Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) system that serves the west suburbs and the west side of Chicago. Mistead received his social work master’s degree at Widener University and completed his field specialization placement with PCC Community Wellness on their inpatient Addiction Medicine consult service at West Suburban Medical Center where he provided care coordination and linkage to outpatient Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment for patients upon their hospital discharge. Mistead has a passion for working with underserved and marginalized communities including persons with SUD. He strives to address the psychosocial needs of each individual patient and lessen the stigma that adversely affects many particularly those with a SUD. Mistead’s holistic approach to the “person-in-addiction” brings a vital contribution to ISAM board.
