Raymond Bertino went to Medical School at the University of Michigan. He was AOA and graduated with Honors in 1982. He completed a Radiology Residency and a Fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the University of Washington. He moved to Peoria, Illinois in 1988 and practiced in Interventional Radiology and in Vascular Ultrasound. He is a Clinical Professor of Radiology and Surgery at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Peoria. He served as President of the Illinois Radiological Society. He is a Fellow in the ACR and in the Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound. He retired from the practice of radiology in November 2016.

 

He currently is an advocate for addiction medicine issues. Current appointments include Member, Governmental Affairs Council, Illinois State Medical Society; and Member, Regional Perinatal Addiction Committee at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He is the current President of the Illinois Society of Addiction Medicine.
