Raymond Bertino went to Medical School at University of Michigan. He was AOA and graduated with Honors in 1982. He completed a Radiology Residency and a Fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at University of Washington. He came to Peoria in 1988 and practiced in Interventional Radiology and in Vascular Ultrasound. He is a Clinical Professor of Radiology and Surgery at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Peoria. He served as President of the Illinois Radiological Society for 2 years (2 terms). He is a Fellow in the ACR and in the Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound. He retired from the practice of radiology in November
2016. He currently is an advocate on addiction medicine issues. Current appointments include Board Member, Peoria County Medical Society; Member, Governmental Affairs Committee, Illinois State Medical Society; Member, Substance Abuse PreventionCommittee, Peoria County; and Member, Regional Perinatal Addiction Committee. He is Medical Director of Whole Life Solutions Addiction Counseling Services. He is a President Elect of the Illinois Society of Addiction Medicine.
